Work With Us – Nelson International Mural Festival – Assistant Mural Coordinator

The Nelson and District Arts Council is on the hunt for a temporary (8 week), full time (35 hours/week) Assistant Mural Coordinator to work alongside us in anticipation of our fifth season of public art creation! This position will begin on June 20th, 2022 and will end on August 15th, 2022, for 17.00/hr.
Job activities include (but are not limited to):
-Support the Mural Festival Mural Coordinator in all aspects of Mural completion
-Liaise with visiting muralists
-Wall prep (pressure washing, painting, assisting with scaffolding set up)
-Supply drops for artists
-Festival weekend digital support
-Documentation of muralist process for marketing purposes
Job Requirements:
To be eligible to participate in the CSJ initiative, individuals must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment; be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and, have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
Ideally you have your own vehicle.
This is a physical job that requires lifting.
