Webinar: The Power of Art to Inspire Climate Action

We’re pleased to invite you to share in a celebration of beautiful collaborations between artists and climate organizations!
Join us on April 28 – 3 pm ET / noon PT & register here: https://www.conservationcouncil.ca/webinar-the-power-of-art-to-inspire-climate-action/

Over the past year, the FUTURES/Forward mentorship program has provided support for climate organizations to work with artists and artists-in-residence on collaborative projects that help bridge our respective areas of expertise. CAN-Rac’s own experience in this program saw us work with violist Tanya Kalmanovich to further develop the Tar Sands Songbook, a beautiful, intimate, evolving multimedia storytelling of lives touched by the legacy of Northern Alberta’s oil industry.

We’ll showcase three such collaborations, in which artists worked with the Conservation Council of New Brunswick, the Ecology Action Centre, and CAN-Rac. We’ll learn more about the FUTURES/Forward program, too, and we’ll talk about the opportunities for bringing together the arts with climate activism to inspire creative actions for change.
Register now and share widely!
